ELIMITE DRUG INFO

USES: Elimite is used to treat scabies.
HOW TO USE: Protopic is for adults and children age 2 years and older. Protopic may be used for short or intermittent long periods of treatment, as directed by your doctor. You can use it on all affected areas of your skin, including your face and neck.Use Protopic exactly as directed by your doctor. If you do not understand these directions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you.
SIDE EFFECTS: Itching, tingling, numbness, redness or irritation may occur with Elimite use. If these effects continue, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: a skin rash, burning or swelling skin. If you notice other Elimite effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: other illnesses, any allergies. Elimite should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if this medication appears in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
HOW TO USE: This medication is for use on the skin only. Apply carefully to the affected area as directed avoiding the eyes, nose and mouth. Massage Elimite into the skin. After 8 to 14 hours, wash off the cream.
STORAGE: Store Elimite at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. US residents can call the US national poison hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Canadian residents should call their local poison control center directly. Elimite may be harmful if swallowed. Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, headache, weakness, seizures, and loss of consciousness.
NOTES: One application of Elimite is usually all that is needed. Flush eyes with water immediately should the medication come into contact with your eyes.
